Travel Arrangements
For everyone’s convenience, Lishu is offering local travel arrangements only for this auspicious event. This excludes all air travel; you must make air travel arrangement independently.

It includes transfers to and from hotels, hotel, transportation to and from Dehradun and all meals. We are also offering an option to travel to Menri Monastery in Dolanji after the retreat has ended.


Here is your travel itinerary:

Lishu Teachings
From Delhi to Dehradun
9 Days: October 20–28
There will be a set price that includes pick up at the New Delhi airport upon arrival in India, two nights at a Delhi hotel, transportation to and from Dehradun, 6 nights at a Dehradun Hotel, transportation to and from the Lishu Institute land, and 3 daily meals while in Dehradun.

The day-to-day itinerary is not final but will look something like this:

Day 1
Monday, Oct 20th: Arrive in Delhi.  Met on arrival at airport and taken to hotel in Delhi.

Day 2
Tuesday, Oct 21:
Rest in Delhi.

Day 3
Wednesday, Oct 22:  8:00 a.m. Group gathers and drives to hotel in Dehradun.

Day 4
Thursday, Oct 23: Visit Kundol Tulku Rinpoche’s Bonpo Monastery in Dehradun.

Day 5 thru Day 8
(Fri., Oct. 24 thru Mon., Oct 27):
Teaching at Lishu by Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche. Transportation provided to and from The Lishu Institute land. Three daily meals provided during retreat.

Day 8
Monday, Oct 27:  Retreat ends at 5pm.

Day 9
Tuesday, Oct 28:  Transportation from Dehradun to the New Delhi airport. Trip ends.

Menri Monastery Extension
4 days at Menri
Total 14 days: Oct 20–Nov 2

Day 9
Tuesday, Oct 28: Long drive to Menri Monastery from Dehradun.

Day 10
Wed. Oct 29:  Join Rinpoche at Menri where we, as a group, along with Rinpoche offer kata and long-life prayers to H.H. Lungtok Tenpai Nyima Rinpoche.
 
Day 11 thru Day 13
(Oct 30–Nov 1):
Rinpoche will leave us as we continue on at Menri exploring life at the monastery for a total of 4 full days.
Accommodations and three daily meals provided.

Day 14
Sunday, Nov 2:
Long day’s drive to return to Delhi airport. Trip ends.

Price:
The price for each of these options will be determined once we have an estimate of the number of people interested in the trip and the extension.

Once we know the approximate number of people interested, we can determine the price per person. We will then send out a full registration packet to those interested that will contain all the trip details.  We hope that many of you will be able to attend this groundbreaking moment.


PLEASE NOTE:

IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO PARTICIPATE in this travel offering but prefer to make your own arrangements, please understand we cannot provide separate pieces of this package. This means you would be responsible for all your own transportation, hotels, hotel transfers, and meals.

This includes getting to and from Dehradun, to and from the Lishu Institute land during the retreat, providing your own meals during the retreat, including box lunches on the land and securing your own hotel reservations in Delhi and Dehradun.
